Photo MADNESS!

Okay, here's a bunch of photos from the last few days...

Ah, Dartmouth. The clock tower, pictured on 31 December.

Sue at Pizza Hut on New Years Eve.

Joe, up from Boston, and Jeff, down for Orford. It's not the flash, they're both really that washed out in real life...

Isn't this usually done with wine glasses??

And now, some photos from UGA Winter Training, on 3 January 2006....

CD Reed. Looking serious in a dark and brooding way...

Coffee urns. They're dark and brewing...

CD Poker Showdown, with your host, Kevin McDonald... 82% chance of taking the pot with this one...

The game is up... All is lost... Huzzah!

A Little Out

I've been away from the blog a bit, mainly because I've been busy with other things. In order to write about stuff, sometimes you actually have to *do* stuff!

On the 1st, the LOTR marathon went off well. On the 2nd, Sue and I did a bit of shopping around, but generally just took it easy. The 3rd was the first day back at work, with Winter Training for our UGA staff happening. That all went well.

Today was a first "real" day back at work. Lots of meetings, and some time at my office getting work done, meeting with students, and getting ready for a work retreat on Friday. I'm also "CD on Call" this week, so I get to hang around campus.

I'll be posting some photos tomorrow, once I get them off my camera.

More soon!

Happy New Day!

Yep, it's a new day, and I'm ready to celebrate!

I've never been much for New Years Eve celebrations, so we just went out to Pizza Hut, and came back here. My friend Joe came up from Boston, and one of my co-workers came out with us too.

Pictures to follow sometime in the future.

Today, I did do my second annual viewing of the three Extended Editions of the Lord of the Rings films. They're all great movies, and watching them in a row, while taking 11.5 hours, does give a real sense of this being one big STORY.

I didn't feel as tired this time as I did last year. Maybe because I knew more of what to expect?
