At the dock of South Street Seaport in NYC, looking towards the boat, the white structure in the distance... Looking east towards Brooklyn.
Again, from the dock, with the Brooklyn Bridge visible. Now, on board ship, taken from the top open air deck, looking at the dock.
Top deck again, looking up the East River at the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a nice evening, temp in the high 50's, I wore a sweatshirt to keep warm.Passing under the Brooklyn Bridge. Pretty cool photo...
I like this view looking south, downtown, with the buildings and the sky... Pretty.
I thought this was a neat photo, because the current, from looking at the buoy, is actually moving against the current of the river. The tide must have been coming in, and the Hudson River/Harbor is one big estuary, affected dramatically by tides. This was an interesting view of the tidal effects in the harbor/river. Interesting to me at least...
Ruins on the Brooklyn side of the river. Cool.
Domino Sugar! Watch the teeth rot!
We then headed into New York Harbor proper, and here's the restored Staten Island Ferry building. They've been working on it for quite a long time. It appears to be almost done.
Ellis Island. Hello, Immigrant Ancestors!
And we'll end with the Statue of Liberty.... Thank you, France!
